"There is an emerging and compelling desire to put the events of the past behind us so that we can work towards a stronger and healthier future. The truth telling and reconciliation process as part of an overall holistic and comprehensive response to the Indian Residential School legacy is a sincere indication and acknowledgement of the injustices and harms experienced by Aboriginal people and the need for continued healing. This is a profound commitment to establishing new relationships embedded in mutual recognition and respect that will forge a brighter future. The truth of our common experiences will help set our spirits free and pave the way to reconciliation." (from the Introduction to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada Mandate)

We invite you to:

Bear witness to the legacy of the Residential School system at TRC Community Hearings:

Fort Qu'Appelle - May 14-18, 2012

Lac La Ronge - June 5-7, 2012

North Battleford - July 9-10, 2012

Plan to be a volunteer at the Saskatoon event, June 21-24, 2012.

Plan to attend the Saskatoon event to listen to and be a witness to the truth telling and the gestures of reconciliation.
