Welcome to the world of Mennonite Central Committee! MCC shares God's love and compassion for all in the name of Christ by responding to basic human needs and working for peace and justice. MCC has workers and/or financial commitments in 65 countries around the world. MCC is concrete and hands on. This includes volunteering with meat canning, or making a blanket, or assembling the contents of a kit for humanitarian aid. This includes assisting with food or blanket distribution with local partners in an area affected by disaster or drought or floods. MCC addresses basic human needs such as water, food, and shelter. MCC is focused on relationships. MCC works through and with local churches and community groups to enable them to better respond to the needs within their own communities. MCC builds bridges to connect people and ideas across cultural, political, and economic divides. MCC values justice and peace. MCC addresses injustice and oppression. MCC is committed to non-violent peacemaking, including loving those who might be considered enemies.
