The Community Engagement program seeks to involve youth and young adult constituents with the work of MCC by providing initial connecting points to peace & justice projects.
Opportunities:
- Chalo is a short-term exposure & service experience in Saskatoon for people aged 13-30.
- Kid’s Club is a drop-in program for mostly refugee, new immigrant and Aboriginal kids in the Meadowgreen neighbourhood. This program runs 6:30 to 8:30 every Wednesday night, and it is always looking for volunteers; if you want to get involved, contact Myriam orDana at 665-2555.
- No Waste Wednesdays is all about coming together and experimenting with lessening our impacts on the earth. Hopefully if we start small, and we start together - we can get somewhere. Every month we have a different theme and encourage people to focus on that theme each Wednesday. Please join our facebook or check our blog for more information.
